So you messed up! Never mind. This is what Home recording is all about. You can have as many goes as you like until you get it right.
You either messed up the first
recording on to a track or, more commonly, messed up while
recording another track. Either way the process for rerecording is the same.
REMEMBER. Rerecording a track in this way will result in the loss of your original recording on that track. There are alternatives, see
vTakes.
- Overwriting is dangerously simple! [zero] the recording.
- Set the [STATUS KEY] of the channel you want to rerecord to red.
- Make sure the other [status keys] are set to green (If you have used another track)
- Hit [RECORD] then [PLAY] when you are ready.
- Play the piece again
- Hit [STOP] when finished. That's it! The original recording has been replaced.
- You can review your new recording in the usual way.
