Not everyone like effects while some people never play without them. This article is not going to tell you when to use distortion or delay on your rock solo or dictate that an acoustic instrument on it's own sounds boring (I personally don't think this is the case, of course). What I hope to cover is how to access the effects units built in to the MRS-8 and explain where they can be placed in the chain from input to output. How you use them is a whole 'nother subject!

There are 2 effects units built in to the MRS-8. One called the "Send/Return", the other called the "Insert".
